While there are no single fixed duas required at every stage of Umrah, many pilgrims find comfort in reciting certain well known supplications throughout the journey. This guide outlines some of the duas commonly recited at each stage.

Upon Entering Ihram

After making the intention for Umrah, pilgrims begin reciting the Talbiyah, a declaration of readiness to answer the call of Allah. This is repeated frequently throughout the journey to the holy sites, especially when conditions change, such as boarding transport or beginning a new stage of the journey.

During Tawaf

There is no specific dua that must be recited during each circuit of Tawaf. Pilgrims are free to recite any dua, send blessings upon the Prophet, or recite portions of the Quran. Many choose to recite a well known dua between the corner of the Black Stone and the Yemeni corner, asking for good in this life and the next, and protection from the punishment of the Fire.

At Multazam and Near the Kaaba

After completing Tawaf, pilgrims often pause near the area between the door of the Kaaba and the Black Stone, known as Multazam, to make heartfelt personal dua. This is considered a particularly special place for supplication.

During Sai Between Safa and Marwah

While walking between Safa and Marwah, pilgrims are encouraged to make personal dua, remember Allah, and reflect on the story of Hajra. There is no obligatory wording, and pilgrims may use this time for sincere personal reflection and requests.
