Essential Duas for Umrah
Performing Umrah is one of the most spiritually rewarding acts a Muslim can undertake. Having the right duas for each stage of your journey enriches the experience and helps maintain focus and reflection throughout the rituals.
Dua for Entering the State of Ihram
Before crossing the boundary of the Miqat, pilgrims enter the state of Ihram with a clear intention, or niyyah, for Umrah. From this point, the Talbiyah is recited repeatedly until the pilgrim begins Tawaf around the Kaaba.
The Talbiyah
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk. Labbayk la shareeka laka labbayk. Innal hamda wan nimata laka wal mulk. La shareeka lak.
This translates as: Here I am O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, grace and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner. This is recited continuously by both men and women while travelling towards Makkah.
